My given name is Tan. In old Chinese Words,  Tan means Fresh and undiscovered. In saying this, I have spent the most part of my life creating new and useful values for the society.

Out of a yearning passion for film, I have dedicated my university time to making short films up until my graduation. With a different way of telling the same story, a whole new version can be created and shaped into a new film.  I enjoy experimenting so much that my work covers a wide range of subjects, styles and techniques: Feature Film, documentaries, shorts, promotional, music videos, experimental and more.

​Holding a Bachelor Degree in Business Administration, I was trained to posssess the sensitivity to entrepreneurship, the desire to create value from what I do. That subsequently made me a filmmaker granted with the skills to do economics as a FILM PRODUCER and the artistic creativity of a FILM DIRECTOR.

Primarily working as a producer and film editor, recently a director, I have an excellent understanding of the film making process from a blank piece of paper to a complete masterpiece onscreen.  Whilst using Adobe CC suite & Da Vinci Resolve, my system is both on and offsite and able to edit and view 4k content natively - highly essential for high-end delivery.

My proficiency in 3 languages - English, Japanese, Vietnamese, combined with a good sense for national culture allows me to hold a sheer interest in the topic of connecting countries - something which I definitely want to pursue throughout my future filmmaking journey
